I really respect those in the voice acting business and plan to be part of it someday. However I’m not a very social person and can get shy just talking to my family. I was just wondering if there may be hope for me yet. I haven’t given up hope quite yet. A pleasure contacting you.
Many get into acting to overcome shyness. Don’t worry about that. Get up on the stage or in front of the mic and go for it!
Hey! My dad and my brother Grant both would like to do voices and I think they could use some advice, mainly my brother though. He wants to be an actor and I’ve told him that voice over stuff would be a good way to get started with stuff too. Do you have any advice for my brother???
My advice for your brother is read my site and get trying it.
Hey thanks for your response! I told my brother to check out your sit. But now I have a favor to ask. I want to be an animator and I know you work with Dan and Swampy in the show Phineas and Ferb. By the way I LOVE the sound you make for Perry it is so cool. But now, I’ve been wanting to contact them by email but can’t find it out. Do you know how could contact them??? I don’t do facebook or stuff like that it would have to be email. 😛 thanks!
Best I can do is twitter: Swampy is at @mmonogram and Dan is @DanPovenmire.
Hello, i’ve been interesting in videogames my whole life, and always wanted to take part of it’s process that why i’ve learned so many things about it, 3D design, game design and all, but unfortunately in my country Morocco they don’t support this field you see, we had a branch of Ubisoft a few years ago but they left now! I was wondering if there could be somehow something i could do to become a voice actor not to mention that i speak 4 languages and I know that in the field of videogames they need people like me who can speak english either with an american accent or an arab accent to deliver an original content, i will give more details about this when i get a response from you sir.
I’m 22 years old btw, Thank you 😀
Assuming you are ready and have good promotional materials, I would locate the people who cast voice overs in the games you like and submit your materials directly to them via web or social media or mail. These could be casting directors or it could be done “in house” at the gaming company itself. Good luck.
It my last year of high school and i’m not to sure about voice acting, but i do enjoy voicing over charters in books my class reads to add more depth to the story, and everyone enjoys it. Do you think it is a good idea to become a voice actor?
If you try a lot of acting and then voice acting and you love doing it and you get really good and confident at it and people pay you to do it, then, yes, it is a good idea to become a voice actor.
