Making Creature Sounds

Voicing animals and monsters is great fun for me and many are curious about how to go about getting into that. Here is how I approach making non-human vocalizations as a voice actor:

  1. Making creature or monster sounds is not a matter of making “sound effects” or mere “sounds.” Nor is it fundamentally a matter of utilizing vocal tricks or employing secret physiological knowledge. All that window dressing is secondary. Creature vocalizing in voice acting is first and foremost a function of acting.  It is as specific in intent, subtext and tone as any spoken performance.

2. I am now teetering how this works with this which is just fine.
